Most courier businesses are either still using dial-up internet connections, or nothing at all!
2001
Staff numbers double as membership takes off.
2002
The administration and sales office moves to London, development and programming continues in Nottingham.
2003
Tramp Diary / site revamped, electronic PODs can now be uploaded to the exchange.
2004
CX Mobile launched, based on the original 02 XDA device.
Membership passes 1,000 member companies.
2005
Haulage Exchange is launched.
‘Journey Sweeper’ introduced to provide en-route job matches.
2006
‘MyCX’ dashboard rolled out.
Transport Exchange Group joins forces with three other European freight exchanges to form the ‘Fret Alliance.’
2007
New site / tabbed navigation.
2008
Revised feedback and ratings system launched, following extensive consultation with members.
Haulage Exchange is now a recognised part of UK road haulage industry.
2009
‘Lightstreamer’ introduced to push notifications to the desktop.
Activity levels grow significantly as the economy improves towards end of year.
Annual awards dinner attended by over 350 people.
2010
Major project launch – including individual log-ins for each user, improved directory searches, Instant Messaging, online presence, training videos and much more.
